Sharon Backarich, b. 1964

Sharon was born in Vallejo. She attended school in Napa. Sharon worked as part of a house cleaning staff before coming to Brown Street. She truly enjoys drawing. In Sharon's landscapes the sun and the moon share the same sky and often wear glasses while looking over a vibrant field. So consistent is Sharon's dedication to the sun and moon that rarely does she veer from the subject. Her work includes both the subject of the landscape and the action of repetitive mark. The combination creates a lively landscape where colors vibrate within the work.
